Accelerated Physician Courses
Physician & Physician Delegate Courses
The Texas Laser Institute offers physicians and their delegates two-day seminar courses, 8-hours each. These seminars provided a comprehensive yet efficient solution to gain the necessary training to perform many of today’s most popular aesthetic treatments within a medical practice. In addition, these seminars are designed to provide the required degree of training and comprehension in accordance with Rule 193.13 of the Texas Medical Board.
This Rule greatly impacts the aesthetics community, as it essentially deems that use of all light based treatments when performed by an FDA approved medical device constitutes the practice of medicine. As such, light based treatments are now to be performed after a prescription is first issued to the patient – requiring either a mid-level practitioner (PA, NP) or a physician to first conduct a medical evaluation of a patient, chart a prescribed course of treatment, to then delegate the performance of the treatment to a non-licensed medical practitioner or RN/LVN.
